Language is universal across Studio and Chat

When you change Output Language in any Studio customize dialog, that updates your default output language across all Studio generations and your Copilot Chat panel.
If you leave it on Auto, Memo detects the source language automatically.

Step-by-step

Start a tutor session

  1. Open your deck.

  2. Select the sources you want Tutor to use.

  3. Go to Studio.

  4. Click Tutor.

Customize first

  1. Click the pencil icon on Tutor.

  2. Choose a tutor skill.

  3. Add optional custom tutor instructions.

  4. Start the session.

What tutor skills do

Tutor is now skill-based. The exact skill list can vary, but common tutor options can include:

  • a general tutor flow

  • a Feynman-style coaching flow

  • a viva or strict oral-exam flow

Your selected skill shapes how the session behaves.

Important notes

  • Tutor uses the sources currently selected in the deck.

  • The customize dialog supports optional custom instructions up to 600 characters.

  • Tutor starts from your current shared output-language preference.

  • Depending on the voice flow, language can also be adjusted in-session when supported.

FAQ

Is Tutor based on my deck sources, or is it generic?

It is source-based. Select the right sources before you begin.

Can I tell Tutor to focus on weak areas?

Yes. Add that request in the custom instructions before starting.

Why do I see different tutor options from another user?

Tutor uses a skill-based system, so the visible options can depend on which system or installed skills are available in your account.
