Error rendering LaTeX equations in some scenarios

Sometimes, latex equations in Notes mode that are wrapped in brackets cannot be rendered properly (and shows this red text)

If I removed the brackets, it renders properly

I am able to reproduce the issue with a minimal example.

If the latex equation is wrapped in a bracket “( or )” and the latex equation contains macros (e.g. \text{} or \frac{}{}), then it fails to render.
