Learn mode is broken after last update

Hello, after the last update, learn mode got broken in two ways:

a) Only 20 new cards daily are being served, even if I have override in settings to 1000

b) Review follows immediately after learning the card instead of learning the whole deck (previously it was learn the whole deck, then review the whole deck; now it is learn the card and immediately review it, which makes it useless)

Please take a look at these issues, as this makes Memo quite unusable for me. Thanks

    Hey Michal,

    Thanks for flagging these issues! I've issued a fix for the first problem with the daily card limit. Could you check if it's working correctly on your end now?

    As for the second issue with the review mode, I'll be looking into it further as we have made a slight tweak in the spaced repetition algorithm. Would love to learn more if the new one is better compared to your old studying workflow. Thanks!

      Thanks, I can confirm the limit issue was fixed.

      For the second issue, I made some screenshots for easier repro:

      1) I get a new card I haven’t seen yet:

      2) I press “Good (9 minutes)”


      3) Now, I would expect for this card to get into the “review” stack (which it does) and to appear again after at least 9 minutes as it said on the button or after I have no new cards. Instead, I get the card immediately again for review (even though I still have 33 new cards left to go through):

        Thank you so much for the detailed screenshots and explanation! I can confirm that this issue exists on our end as well. I'm currently working on a fix to ensure the cards appear correctly after the specified interval. I'll keep you updated once it's sorted out!

          Thank you, can confirm the cards for review are now scheduled correctly, much appreciated.

          Just one more thing, after last update the count for “new” cards respects the limit, but now it seems that it shows incorrect amount of cards in the deck if the limit is higher than the deck size.

          For example here, this deck has 84 cards, I have 1500 daily limit, so I would expect to have min(daily_limit, deck_size) of "new” cards, but instead is shows the limit (even if there are not that many cards in the deck):

            I checked out the new card count issue you're seeing and was able to replicate it on my end too. Looks like there's an edge condition mishandling the situation where the daily limit exceeds the deck size.
